Viking-era 'Tafl boards - Shop
livepages::jquery();?>
A board game with elements of chess or even the earlier Roman Ludus Latrunculi, played with variations of squares on a board, ranging from 7x7 to 13x13 layouts.
These boards are based on the 7x7 layout and are decorated with elements from various Viking-era art.
They have been laser-engraved and raised feet and corner decorative elements have been added, but the boards are also available without the raised elements.
Each board has been cut from Baltic birch plywood, and treated with polyurethane varnish. The 'tafl pieces available in the shop fit nicely on the boards.
